this has a lot of poor reviews but I'm a sucker for these type of movies with there bad acting and silly plots that rip off better movies, in this case films like alien and the thing.

a group of scientist are working on alien sample they received from the government and use it too make various mutated creatures while working one of the scientists is biting and start to mutate in to a creature that looks like a giant penis with teeth and legs, while a cure is trying to be found he kills some people and escapes. a young woman who is the daughter of one of the victims sets out with her boyfriend and sister to find her missing father when he doesn't return home. once they getting into the labs they have to contained with the creature and two CIA agents sent to clean up the mess. unintentionally funny, with some dreadful acting and poor creature effects but a lot of blood and gore. it fails on many levels but it was so much fun because of a lot of its failings 7.5/10
This looks soooo much fun.

The Headless Eyes (1971)

The Headless Eyes is a grimy early '70s proto-slasher concerning an artist who is blinded during a failed robbery attempt and who, several years later, takes it upon himself to go on a killing spree and remove his female victims' eyes with a spoon he keeps wrapped up in his pocket.

The atmosphere and aesthetic is very H G Lewis, with more than a dollop of Andy Milligan thrown in... However, the contents and mood of the film never seem to gel together to create an engaging enough and smooth-flowing experience. The film often flip-flops between gritty tension tinged with nastiness, and that of strained absurdity and silliness with our eye-patch sporting killer shrieking about his eyes (of which sounds sampled off a repetitive audio loop). Some drawn-out filler scenes also aid to counteract the film's flow.

Whilst The Headless Eyes certainly has some interesting and manic moments, there just wasn't enough of them or the fluidity in their execution to invest me to the point where I'd actively want to visit it again.

BATMAN: ASSAULT ON ARKHAM. Blimey! This is f*cking great, a major free for all set in Arkham Asylum. Basically, it is "The Dirty Dozen" redone with baddies from Batman with Harley Quinn shifting from Joker's sidekick into a very compelling lead character of her own. Highly recommended.
I think Cap 2 is by far the best entry in the series, as for Batman, sounds interesting!

All Star Superman

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416860040.296046.jpg

Lex Luthor gets his greatest wish and finally manages to kill superman after getting him exposed to vast amounts of solar radiation after rescuing a ship near the sun. Exposer is slowly killing the man of steel but has vastly increased is powers and given him new ones along with immunity to kryptonite.

With the remaining time he has left he informs Lois of who he is and gives her his abilities for 24 hours and sets out to tie up lose ends and stop lex Luthor and save the earth one last time. Intelligent, thought provoking and emotional, one of the best superman adaptations I have seen. Great animation and a near perfect cast makes this a film all superman fans should watch. Oh and it appears Jimmy Olsen is a cross dresser, I don't know why they didn't go with that in man of steel it would of been one of its redeeming features 9/10

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug Extended ED Blu-Ray -
We picked this up today and watched it like the Tolkien nerds we are. just brilliant. All of the additional footage is pretty and adds to the storyline in the way most of the footage in The Mocking Jay: part 1 doesn't. I love the books and i love Peter Jackson since bad taste so i have nothing bad to say im afraid. LOVED IT!

The Mocking Jay Part 1 - Cinema (£21 for 2 tickets!)
My other half loves these books so i do my bit in our relationship and go along with her to watch Jennifer Lawrence run around in tight clothing getting damp...... Anyway the film is utter bollocks with a little bit of tension thrown in. save your £20 and instead simply shit your pants in a public place - this will emulate said tension and empty shameful after taste. If i were you, I'd wait for the dvd/Blu set when they all get released.

Combat Shock - Troma/Arrow DVD release
Oh dear... Well it has a surprise ending and a 'Eraserhead' style baby in it. but honestly Arrow... what were you thinking?

TMNT - Cinema
Utter toss. F**k Micheal Bay and his crap films.

I haven't seen this yet but if it's a faithful adaptation of the comic series then it really will be a phenomenal film. Grant Morrison gets to the heart and core of the character in a way Zack Snyder never could.

NIGHTBREED: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT

About bloody time! This is the film I've waited the best part of 25 years for, as much as I love the Theatrical Cut, this is loads better, being closer to Barker's original novella (Cabal) and vision.
Great restoration by Scream Factory, especially enjoyed hearing Doug Bradley's voice as Lylesberg, instead of the German dude who dubbed him (much to Bradley's annoyance) for the TC, and the original ending.
9/10

I'm trying to write a review of Bloodsucking Freaks (1976). I've been trying for two days. I just don't know where to start.
