Room 237;

An interesting documentary on the making of THE SHINING. Not your typical doc, for sure, but pretty mesmerizing all the same. May give The Shining a spin again tonight if I don't watch Bob Clark's BLACK CHRISTMAS. Not the kind of documentary I was expecting, but it turned out to be a great watch.

I'd probably enjoy it if it didn't have Dick Van Dyke and THAT accent, so annoying!

I know it should bug me, but I find it part of the charm and I'm usually so involved in what's happening that I don't notice. It's only when clips are shown in isolation that the accident seems so terrible!

Star Wars a new hope

Well not much I can say about this classic that has not been said already. A classic even with its simply story and some laughable dialogue but that's part of its charm, a film that defined a generation and its popularity has never been surpassed before or since. Always takes me back to childhood, a film that wish you away back to that magic time of being a child. Saw it when it first came out when I was only 4 and still remember the feelings of awe and wonder while I watched it. 9.5/10

I watched I Walked With A Zombie the other night. Second time I've tried this film now and i just can't get into it. Which is a shame because i loved the first two films i watched from the Val Lewton boxset, which i why i decided to try again with this.
There is some splendid imagery here and the film is well put together but frankly i just find it boring, it completely lacks the underlying sense of danger that Cat People had.
