I enjoyed Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny and Girly too. Certainly one of Freddie Francis's most bizarre films. Vanessa Howard was gorgeous as ever.

I've always wanted to see this but never have done... I don't think it's been released on DVD anywhere though, has it?

I watched a great little low-budget Sci-Fi/Horror last night called Growth, it had an obiviously low budget but the cast and crew make use of all of it. It's a sort of Slither meets Dreamcatcher, minus the stupid mental aspect of the latter, kind of film, concerning gentic experiments with these small parasitic creatures. some good perfomanceses to.
I should be checking it out soon.

Growth sounds interesting. will keep a eye out.

R1 version, March 2010 on Scorpion Releasing.

Apparently they're releasing the splendid Judy Geeson-fest Goodbye Gemini too! Let's hope a swathe of almost forgotten vintage bizarro Brit-horror awaits us this year!

Can't wait to see someone try to get Night Hair Child past the BBFC!

I've been binging on Spaghetti Westerns recently so my last three watched are...

Keoma - great film, awful music
Sabata - good fun if a bit predictable and corny - a Western James Bond!
The Great Silence - best Spaghetti Western I've seen outside of (and maybe even including) the '...Dollars' Trilogy

I love Keoma, it's my all time fave spaghetti western. And yes, the soundtrack is awful

Is your edition of The Great Silence the recent 16x9 UK re-issue and if so is it any good?

No, it's the old Eureka version unfortunately, would've liked the new one for the Alex Cox interview and commentary on the alternate ending.

Just seen Hidden (Skjult)
A Norwegian horror/thriller about a guy that visits his childhood home after his mother dies and his memories come to haunt him. I heard alot of good stuff about it but am afraid I did not think it was great. Kinda slow and not much of a pay off. It does however have a good atmosphere and was kinda creepy.
