Nekromantik 2

The film opens with a woman digging up the corpse of the lead character from Nekro 1 for some sexy times. The opening scenes of corpse love are gloopy and disgusting but weirdly tender. Then our leading lady falls for a regular(ish) bloke and decides to try for a normal life. She must struggle to keep her dark desires buried!
There's a lot to recommend Nekromantik 2 so long as you have the stomach for it. The actual love story is well played, the effects are better and we get a lot of great footage of east Berlin just after the collapse of the wall. Monika m gives a fantastic performance as the disturbed necrophile, odd as she was not a trained actress and had been approached after being spotted at a screening of House by the cemetery. The central idea of someone with an aberrant sexual identity trying to fit into a 'normal' relationship is well played throughout. Its not going to be to all tastes but I really enjoyed this.

Last movie of 2015:
Doom (2005) Haven't seen this since for quite some time....doubt whether I see it anytime soon again. I was never a gamer beyond Civilization, Caesar and Age of Empires.

Island of Terror, this afternoon. On an isolated island, research scientists' efforts to create a living organism that can kill cancer goes badly awry when they end up with a living organism that kills humans instead. Yeah, well, that was a pretty big mistake, wasn't it?! Peter Cushing stars in this unremarkable but mildly entertaining mid 60s horror flick.

Dogs. In an isolated university town, a series of animal attacks on cattle lead a scruffy, acerbic university professor (David McCallum, as excellent as always) to the alarming conclusion that ordinary domestic dogs are packing and turning savage... and they're about to graduate from cattle to people. This eerie mid 70s horror-thriller has a very silly premise, but treats it with refreshing severity and the result is a hugely entertaining and creepy film with plenty of shocks, scares and gore! 70s flicks always seem to get an extra 10 points of atmosphere added to them just because of the vibe, and Dogs is no exception. I have a very vague feeling that I may have seen this - or some of this - before as a kid (for some reason I keep imagining watching it on holiday in a caravan somewhere or other!) but I really couldn't remember it. Very enjoyable.

San Andreas (2015)

Shit blows up! Shit sinks! Shit definitely collapses!

Very enjoyable and spectacular modern disaster movie. Just don't try to think about it and it's all a lot of fun.
