His daughter kidnapped, he has a particular set of skills. Guess the movie....nar your wrong, its Commando (1985). My first picture of 2016 and great fun even with Vernon Wells' bloody awful acting especially at the end.

He always looks like he's about to burst into a rendition of "YMCA" to me.

The Thing (2011) - 38.

Very generous indeed. That's perhaps 30 more than i'd give it.

The Pyjama Girl Case
- 36/100. This was the very first giallo i ever saw. It was a Redemption video. Thank heavens i liked it more than you did or i'd possibly never have bothered with the genre. As it happens i rather like it. Sure it's a tad slow but i still think 36 is quite low. As for it not being better than The Thing remake.

Lucker - 47/100. I found that almost unwatchable. Plus the special edition dvd is bleedin' awful quality.

The Pyjama Girl Case remains one of the worst gialli I've ever seen. Awful and extremely annoying soundtrack too.

As for The Thing remake, I'd put it off for years having heard how terrible it was and only caught it about a year or so ago (I think). Whilst it still wasn't very good it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd prepared myself for hence the perhaps more generous rating.

Ha, there was something endearingly strange about Lucker that I can't quite put my finger on. Despite owning it on DVD I've only seen it once and that must have been about 5 years ago now.

Your biggest crime so far is a measly 45/100 for Apocalypse Now. Words are starting to fail me. It's a magnificent film.

Clearly not as good as The Demons of Ludlow 46/100, but what is?

Ah, you can read all about my disdain for Apocalypse Now in the Classic Films You Love to Hate thread.

In Ludlow's defense it has a glowing disembodied demon hand - can Apocalypse Now say the same?

Bad Moon with a very average 50/100.

I think that's a bit of an unknown gem and rate it higher than more popular werewolf films like The Howling. Still at least you preferred it to VHS - 44/100.

Legally Blonde - a measly 46/100. It's a great comedy.
