Just finished a double feature: The Mist (B&W version) followed by The Crazies.

Both great flicks, but I forgot how effective and painful the ending of The Mist truly is, especially with Dead Can Dance music playing in the background.

Saw it years ago in video... remember thinking it was a bit boring, overall. Raimi is much better with deadly-evil stuff like Drag Me To Hell.

I'd reserve that judgment for Raimi's The Gift, which I felt was a bit dull and sub-par. But I am glad that he's stopped making Kevin Costner romantic dramas and Spider-Man sequels. I love Drag Me To Hell all the more each time I see it. There's only one film he really should be making now, and it ain't based on a widely successful computer game!

Nah for some reason I was never a fan of Slither. Might take me another viewing.

The Intruder was an excellent film though.
