I don't know her at all...i don't think. Another typical giallo stunner.

I didn't think Nieves was in it as she didn't seem to be mentioned on the poster you posted.

She's was in a fair few low budget Spanish horror / mystery thrillers throughout the '70s. I think the only other thing I've seen her in though is The Spirit of the Beehive.

The Funhouse (1981)

A second viewing of this for me and i just don't get the love it receives from fans. It just seems director Tobe Hooper is stuck in a world of oddball characters following the success of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and to a lesser extent Eaten Alive, as all three are essentially the same film, with only his Texas debut being any good.

I'm not going to be critical as it is a fan fave however The Funhouse takes an age to get going with endless meandering around a fair ground by four cardboard cut out teens, and when it does get going there's barely any blood, thrills or tension. Maybe it's because i just don't find fun fairs, circuses or clowns creepy, i really don't know.

Credit where credit's due though. The Funhouse quite possibly has the quickest handjob sequence ever filmed. Under two seconds and four strokes i counted. Seriously, when that's the highlight of the film there really is something wrong somewhere.

Hopefully someone will say why The Funhouse is so well liked.

I agree with your analysis of The Funhouse too, Dem. It's never been a favourite of mine and it really doesn't have much going for it.

Maybe it's not just me then. Nice to see you agree B_E.

It's one of those films where i'm always delighted to have a booklet to read and other Arrow stuff to look at whilst watching it.
