I watched The Ultimate Weapon (1998, Jon Cassar) only because I picked up two Hogan films for a mate. Sweet creeping jesus, it is terrible. The comic relief sidekick, the awful villians et bleeding al. What did you expect from a Hulk Hogan flick I hear you scream?? Some unintentional laughs that's what. PASS. Demons 2 (LB, 1986) Still not as fun as the first film. Though twas/is always a hoot to see people dancing to Panic by The Smiths (surely their only ST appearance???). The Incredible Melting Man (1977, William Sachs) By gum it looks a lot better than I remember. Mate gave me his spare Arrow set, so twas a nice weekend....good comm btw. Harbinger Down (2015, Alec Gillis) Passable caper with some cheeky touches imo. Though WHY it was renamed Inanimate beggars me???

THE FLYING SERPENT PRC (1946) George Zucco keeps a caged reptile in a hidden cave. A mythical Aztec serpent is set loose on anybody who threatens to discover his treasure horde. Anyone who gets in his way, George plants a serpent feather on them and the reptile then kills the victim to take back the feather..... Entertaining low budget thrills. The flying serpent effects are well handled and the matt painted Aztec ruins in the background look too good for a cheap picture like this. Clocking in again at just under an hour, another fun PRC picture that most likely was the basis for the later Q THE WINGED SERPENT. |
