Not at all - love Bava - it was a dig at James Wan ripping off Bava and not even doing it very well!

Laurel & Hardy: The Classics (Way Out West/Sons Of The Desert/The Music Box) Watched via a 3-on-1 VHS. 3 of the greatest films ever made from 2 of the greatest comedians that ever lived. Absolute perfection. I went to bed with a headache and woke up with a sore throat. Both through laughing so much. 'Tell me about my dear, dear Daddy. Is it true that he's dead?' 'Well we hope he is. They buried him.' 'Oh it can't be. What did he die of?' 'I think he died of a Tuesday. Or was it a Wednesday?' |

WOOHOOO! I went to that FrightFest too Metaldud! It was brilliant! Did you manage to see John Landis? Watched Dawn Of The Living Dead last night. Fell asleep half way through (probably due to crappiness of the film and flu). From what I did see it was terrible with some great unintentional humour too. Pretty crap zombie film - at least before I snoozed

Love a bit of Laurel and Hardy. Out of all the old comedians (lloyd, Chaplin, Keaton) I rate them the highest. Never liked Chaplin at all for all his cinematic skill, loved Lloyd's stunts but never found him that funny, admired what Keaton did but again never really found him amusing. But Laurel and Hardy still make me laugh my nuts off...and that's the important thing. |

Triangle Not what I expected! This is a superior head-scratcher of a horror film anchored by a superb turn from Home And Away alumnus Melissa George. From the trailers I thought it was going to be a slasher-at-sea Dead Calm type thing, then a little into the film I thought it was going to be The Shining at sea - wrong on both counts! What it is is an intelligent, enthralling, headf*** of a film, more like a feature length Twilight Zone episode. For me, the last film to feel and hit like this was Cube, but if anything Triangle is more involving and haunting due to the superb characterisation and very real human elements to the story. To say anything else would be to invoke spoilers, so I shall just repeat that this is a clever and worthwhile film which should reward most audiences. Great stuff. After this and Solomon Kane, I am developing high hopes for the revival of British fantastique cinema. |

it was directed by Chris Smith who did Creep and Severence, but for some reason didn't get a wide theatrical release. I rented it but never got a chance to see it, im gonna have to get it again now.

Just watched Possession. Didnt think much of it. Had good ideas but was not executed very well. Sad to see Sarah Michelle Gellar only in these straight to dvd movies now. I loved her in Buffy and Cruel Intentions. |
