Sick of the local cuisine Jason stows away on a ship headed for New York to sample the culinary delights of the Big Apple.

The uncle of main character Rennie has to be one of the biggest assholes i have ever seen in a film so much so it just became comical by the end with his constant complaining and criticising of everything that anyone does Sadly most kills are still cut aways sometimes not even giving us the gore shot after the fact and my other complaint is when Jason is walking the streets of New York he just seems oblivious to every other person around him just concentrating on the two main characters for a bloodthirsty killer he is pretty picky with who he kills he should of been in heaven with so much fresh meat around.

6/10

Emmas thoughts

Annoying characters the entire film just seemed pointless and desperate.

Part 9 The Hidden pt 2

Jason is no longer a deep sea diver he is now the extraterrestrial parasite from 80s film The Hidden moving from body to body hoping to track down the daughter of his sister the only person capable of killing or resurrecting Jason. Yeah thats right this story is lets just say a sack of shit but only for a Friday The 13TH film if it was The Hidden pt 2 it would be a lot better. The gore effects and prosthetics look fantastic. In every films a machete conveniently shows up just handy enough that Jason can get his hands on it sometimes it's in a tool shed , someone is cutting the hedge in the garden with one someone else is making a sandwich and buttering the bread with a machete

This film by another name would be a 6 but it's sort of hard to forgive this shit having the Friday name attached to it.

3/10

Emma missed out on this one up early for work tomorrow and after this shit show the last two Jason X and Freddy v Jason will have to wait until tomorrow im absolutely wrecked. A day well spent if you ask me

Thanks to everyone for all the likes and reading my small few words on each one and also for your patience with me posting so much cheers

Shocker

Hated by many,not sure why.

It is certainly not Wes Cravens masterpiece, but it is enjoyable if you're looking for something to have fun with that doesn't require huge amounts of concentration to pass some time.

Assistant Director skinner... Oops I mean Horace Pinker is a freddy kruegar wannabe with the most silly name a serial killer has been given in a film.

1989 and 1990 also churned out house Iii (the horror show) and the first power. Both remarkably similar. Who copied who and why is a mystery. But those years weren't just about
Sinead O'Connor vs elton john for #1 in the charts. It was the era for film serial killers not appreciating the US authorities gift of an elecric chair for their birthdays.

All 3 are silly but nowhere near as bad as some claim , yet they will never be masterpieces either.

Seconds

Fantastic 1966 film.

Sadly not well known outside those who frequent these forums. A terrifiying film even to this day.

A man is fed up with his life and wants a change, not just moving town but a whole new life, and face. He seems to enjoy his new existence for 1 year until the novelty wears off. Seems being someone he isn't, ain't as great as he thought.

After revisiting his original wife under his new guise he realises he misses her and his old life and not so mundane as he had thought.

He gets drunk and starts sounding off about his old life and this leads him into trouble with the company who gave him his new life. He arrogantly and naively believes that he will get a third chance at life however that's not how things work.

Sinister ending teaching us be grateful for what you have or it may cost you everything.

City of the dead

Arrow release this Christopher Lee gem in amazing Hd. Also known as horror hotel.

Short and sweet at 76 minutes.

Lee plays a professor teaching the history of witchcraft, he encourages one of his pupils to drive to his old hometown to get some real life experience and research. Believing wrongly her professor has her best interests at heart wanting her to pass his class she eagerly does just that. On arrival she recieves the usual welcome strangers do in villages in these films. A combination of warnings to go home and cold shouldering. It becomes clear pretty early on that the town hasn't moved out of the past...

7/10.

Cheekily I watched A Dark Song (Liam Gavin) on a service site cough

Will be getting this anyhow. Whilst not perfect, there is enough here. Steve Oram and Catherine Walker go for broke as a very mismatched pair who hole up in a remote house in order to exorcise her demons. Stately paced, this won't be for everyone and the ending...well

Recommmended.

Pray For Death
A family immigrate from Japan to America to start a business. Where they purchase turns out to be a drop off point for some jewellery. The cop who is to place the necklace there steals it for himself. the mob believe it to be the new owners and kidnap their son. turns out they are innocent but try to kill the family nevertheless. The father then decides to go for revenge.
The action is over the top and fun, the choreography is good. however the acting isn't good. also the song Back to the Shadow is bad.
8/10 for action and Sho Kosugi.
