Great reviews chaps.
One thing I discovered watching Franco is it's rare to see a straight up sex film.

Those two box sets that were released in the mid 00's had a few in them. - Sexual Story of O, the Emmannuelle film to name but two.

This sounded like one like them. At least it did for me from the title alone.

ANNABELLE CREATION

.Far better than the previous film but that's not saying much.No where as decent as either of the The Conjuring films.Too much back story really hurt the potential of this film. Not bad but it was nice seeing some Horror back in the Cinema

Death Note

Most of the internet seems to be taking a massive dump on this movie, but I thought it was alright. I'm not familiar with the source material but even I could tell there's been too much plot crammed into 100 minutes, leading to various pacing casualties (including Willem Dafoe's scene stealing voice being sadly absent for long stretches).

Plus it's not as good as You're Next and The Guest were, but this is still another enjoyable spurt of graphic violence and 80s music from Adam Wingard.

Watched Death Wish 3. Wasn't very excited about it to be honest. But still viewed it with an open mind.

Wanted an uncut Death Wish 2 and the recent Australian release of that was a combo disc. Death Wish 3 is quite a poor movie. Villains that look as if they belong in a The Warriors film, ridiculous magically exploding cars (especially when the obligatory far-too-young love interest has a vehicle crash) and a director and main cast very much slumming it indeed.

Even the Jimmy Page score is awful (bar the moments where it's re-using music from the far superior Death Wish 2). Final film score - a very grudging 5/10. btw Haven't seen Death Wish 4 or 5 and am extremely reluctant to do so, after watching this particularly rubbish entry. Perhaps they should have just stuck with a Death Wish 1 and 2? There are many folks who would only defend the first film.
