Slashed Dreams (1975, James Polakof)
Hey, we're in love ... so let's go camping!!

Keen on the old wildly veering tone shifts??
Then plug yourself in. Aka Sunburst ... a title which is about as misleading as you can get
The bloke who plays Dr Strange in the 78 TVM is in it for a start. A tubby bear interrupts their slumber .... but nature is not their enemy this time
A very youthful Kreuger turns up btw

The Visitor (1979)

Somehow four script writers including Ovidio Assonitis mangle this film into incomprehensible rubbish and waste a cast of genuine A-listers in the process (John Huston, Glenn Ford, Shelley Winters, Mel Ferrer, Sam Peckinpah) It was also an early large role for Lance Henriksen - I'm surprised he didn't leave the industry following this baffling Italian mash up of The Omen, Close Encounters and, hell, anything they thought of. Franco Nero plays Jesus.

Recommended to anyone i don't like!

BUT BUT ...

That just makes me want to watch it again.
I am entranced by it.
How did he sell this to those A listers? Did they all just fancy a holiday??
And that theme. And that ending.
Total lunacy.

REC

A television presenter and her camera man follow the duties of firemen for their show get called to a building. A resident attacks and bites a police man. As they rush to exit the building they are being sealed in following a B.N.C. (biological chemical or nuclear) protocol has been ordered. What becomes a night of presenting a show becomes a night of survival of a mysterious Outbreak and what lurks in the penthouse becomes a discovery more terrifying.

REC 2

A S.W.A.T team and a minister of health enter the quarantined building from the first movie to find any survivors and document what they find. What was kept quiet are the swat team prepared to what they find?

REC 3 GENESIS.

Every bride and groom hopes their day goes perfect, what becomes a happy special day becomes a day of survival and how does the first movie become connected to this installment.

REC 4 APOCALYPSE

After the second movie a survivor of the building is found and placed on a boat in the middle of the ocean. A scientific team try to find a antidote for the infection until the Outbreak happens again and nowhere to hide.

These movies are one of the best foreign horrors brought to us by Spanish film makers. The first two are made as P.O.V found footage, they are atmospheric and claustrophobic plenty of jumps and unexpected scenes.

The third movie starts off as P.O.V then becomes like a normal movie as does the fourth which was not P.O.V.
These movies are well worth watching at night in the dark and if you don't mind subtitles.

As an affeciando of FF films (I suppose ) [REC] is in the top 5

The other 3 have their merits ....

I recommend To Let & Sleep Tight by the two directors also

Has to be one of the most mangled disjointed films I've ever seen Dem. I thought perhaps I was missing something. I love how the box sells it as some sort of undiscovered cult classic.
