Seriously though when I think of arch space opera villains my mind goes straight to ming the merciless or Darth Vader. I think the attempt to humanize Vader fell flat on its arse in the prequels thanks to bad writing.

Infinity war pulls it off in the space of one movie. He's a surprisingly plausible monster.

Not a direct reply to this post Keirarts...

But, I've not seen Black Panther yet, I hadn't anticipated Infinity War coming so soon and I was going to wait until the BD is out to see it, will it matter to the plotting of Infinity War considering the Black Panther was introduced in Civil War anyway?? There is like a million characters in this one anyway

If you've seen civil war you probably know enough.

Did think the chap that was also in John Dies At The End would be a shoo-in for a FNM biopic though ....

I heard there were 27 superheroes in Infinity War, so even with a 150 minute running time, I can't believe they would spend a lot of time going into the minutiae of everyone's back story and most things will be taken as assumed knowledge.

My understanding of the MCU is that this one basically follows on from Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and doesn't really dwell on the events in Black Panther.

I've seen all of those so I should be OK, I guess its the same as when I saw Civil War before Ant-Man and it didn't really matter.

I used to be right up to date with the Marvel films, but somewhere along the line i lost count of them.

Yet to see - Antman, Civil War, Ragnarok, Dr Strange, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2...

Tesco are doing a 2 for £12 on Marvel films atm, so might pick up Antman and Dr Strange.

I’m so far behind on my Marvel films that for me to watch Infinity War I’d have to watch about 8 films first, think I’ll wait for the UK TV premier
