The Triangle (2016)

Another slow burner movie, this time of the found footage variety (Even though nothing actually happened to the film makers and the footage was never actually lost) about a group of film makers who go out to the Montana desert to document a commune. However when they arrive odd things begin to happen, odd things which appear connected to some fossils in a cave.

Sometimes brooding horror can be beautifully done (See We Are What We Are above) but in the case of The Triangle it never reaches a conclusion, things are far too drawn out and nothing actually happens outside typical commune life aside from a bright light and a high pitched noise every so often.

Unlike many found footage films this is nicely photographed and edited with convincing acting as well, however due to the fact that f*ck all happens, this would have produced a far better experience as part of an anthology film rather than a 90 minute feature.

Killpoint
A crime boss steals weapons from a military base and sells them on the streets. A cop has to team up with a federal agent to stop them from causing all out war on the streets.
Holy shit this was great. Cameron Mitchell may not be on top form - spending too much time being drunk, misogynistic and racist. But nighthawk is a badass.
RECOMMENDED.

That's another i have on a Mill Creek action set.

Good film. Don't know if it's just me but it's the kind of film that suits this weather we are having.

That's what prompted me to watch it.

To be honest it was a choice between this and terror in Beverly Hills, which is one I cannot recommend enough

If that's the one i'm thinking about it's an all action classic. Not seen it since the vhs rental days.

No, wait, that was The Taking of Beverley Hills.

The Layover (2017, William H Macy)

2 besties jostle for the chance to bed a handsome stranger they meet when their flight is redirected. Sadly he does not turn out to be a homicidal pervert. Shame. if this is 'rom com' ...I will stick to the likes of Beautiful Girl Hunter No redeeming features, but then I isn't the audience this flick requires.

Hard Ticket to Hawaii
A fed agent and her witness protection friend, stumble on some diamonds used by a drug dealer. Also there's a giant snake "infested with toxins from cancer infested rats".
My first outing into andy sidaris and boy oh boy was it fun. Awful looking snake, hilariously crap action scenes and poor dialogue. A perfect movie for this weather.
