Pilot for failed tv show, opens with a baby being born and a satanic cult lead by Mr Rimmin ( Richard Lynch)who is in fact Astaroth a high level demon. Jump forward 22 years and a young man falls in love with the baby who is now a young woman , she is protected by the demon and his coven as she is intended to bare his child. We also have a young kim cattrall as an ex of the boyfriend whos daughter has become possessed,at this point a knock off father Merrin is introduced (Dan O'Herlihy). Rips off the likes of the omen ,rosemary baby and exorcist while not a patch on any off those it has some creepy moments and it's obvious from the ending it was a pilot for a tv show, as we would have the man and the priest battling the demon and his forces of evil while trying to save the love of his life. Written by Jimmy Sangster and directed by paul wendkos (mephisto waltz) 5/10

Enjoyable sword and sorcery tale about an evil magician, a shrunken princess and a magic lamp( with the creepiest genie) but the real highlights are Ray Harryhausen stop motion effects the highlights being the skeleton and the Cyclops and Dragon. 8/10

A classic that expertly blends both comedy and horror, which usual fails more than it succeeds. Another great film from 1985 which seemed a great year for films. A great transfer will be watching the your so cool Brewster tomoroow . 9/10

Was going to watch the Spanish version but that's not been restored by the quick look i had, so it's the shorter French version with nudity then!

Only 10 mins in so far but seems like good Amicus, it's an old anchor bay print, worth 50p
Nice one. One of my favourite Amicus movies.
Stick with the DVD.
I watched Severin's Blu ray the other night. Oh my..
The worst Blu ray transfer I have seen. Terrible. They should be ashamed.

Well enjoying it from what I have seen (first film of the director) he enjoys hairy 70s bush, big titties, strange camera angles ,close up of faces and ugly men.

Have you seen Severin's And Now The Screaming Starts, and Asylum?
I keep meaning to pick them up and wondered how the transfers looked.
