Made the mistake of trying to watch Halloween 6 on Halloween. Hadn't seen it in 23 years as I hated it at the time. Watched the Producer's Cut. Nope, still hate it. Absolutely awful on every level. From the appalling treatment of Jamie that goes beyond the usual Halloween stalk and slash into the realms of tasteless cruelty and sadism, to the simply boring new characters and the laughable "Thorn" bollocks, no amount of recutting can save this horse shit. Donald Pleasance does his best, but he's got no chance of rescuing this.
I don't know why 5 catches so much shit, it's a million times better than this garbage.

The Great Wall. Brainless action monster movie. Looks ok and it speeds along, but i've forgotten about it already to be honest.Might have benefited from a bit more build up before the monsters arrived as it sets everything out pretty much from the start. Might get another watch some-when, might not.

Death Wish 1974.

Architect Paul Kersey goes on a one man vigilante spree when his wife and daughter are attacked in their home by a gang of thugs.

Michael Winner brings Brian Garfield's novel to life with Charles Bronson as the quiet man pushed the limits for for revenge while Vincent Gardenia Plays the detective out to put a stop to the vigilante killings.

It may have been questionable when it was first released as crime may be on a high note (and still is) and Michael Winner thought how about a taste of vengeance for victims. Unfortunately this went through the remake process with Bruce Willis and Eli Roth (nothing against them) but the remake didn't live upto this film

Cuck (2019, Rob Lambert)

A desperate loner makes a name for himself on the web, in order to alleviate his isolation. Sadly his other pursuits spell the end for this outlet for his impotent rage. I needed a good scrub after this one. It's sort of predictable tbh. Best date since Don't Go In The House
Triggered: The Movie.

Death Wish II 1982.

4 Years have passed since Paul Kersey left New York, now working in Los Angeles, his Housekeeper is gang raped and daughter is taken and raped which causes her death, Paul decides to search the streets and find the gang.

Charles Bronson and Michael Winner return for this powerful sequel with more violence, There has been different cuts to this film and was toned down alot due to the two rape scenes, by then its pratically screaming at the tv egging on Kersey. There is a great shootout scene with kersey and Inspector Ochoa (Vincent Gardenia) against the thugs. Jill Ireland (Bronson's Wife) stars along side as the girlfriend journalist and Laurence Fishburne as one of the punks.

Gardenia's line to Kersey at the end of that shootout is pure class.

Some of the good lines seem to be from the police to Kersey

Death Wish 3
Shriker: creeps killing creeps, be like before Mr Vigilante.

Death Wish V.
Lt. King: You're not thinking about going back to your old ways.

Both Ed Lauter and Kenneth Welsh know how to stick up for a guy
