Borrows from the original Italian locandina and poster art... simple, yet effective IMO.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 25th August 2009 09:17 PM

Remember it now mate.Yeah the BU edition is probably definitive, but the atrwork...disappointing for Mr Lustig's usual offerings.

I watched my Invitation to Hell / The Last Night the other day, a great package with some nice extras. Lovely cheap feel to it, expecially with the masters being what they were - took me back to the days of bootlegged VHS!:laugh:

thanx BE,i still need to watch it hopefully i will tomorrow

i just watched event horizon 9/10

mbv 26th August 2009 07:00 AM

Watched Exscreamer last night.

Really enjoyed it..it's a real lads night in beer movie...decent bit of gore, plenty of laughs and a one eye'd big dicked flying ball thing.

It's never going to win any oscars and is not a patch on Fantacide. Kinda reminded me of a mix between Bad Taste and Red Dwarf.

Sounds interesting - coming from someone who likes both Bad Taste and Red Dwarf!

mbv 26th August 2009 09:09 AM

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of both so I could appreciate it!!!
I thought they did a great job on what I assume was a very low budget, there is a bit of cgi type FX that although are not up to Avatar standards  are decent for a low budget flick

I got this directly from Shane

Oh Trapped! I've been really meaning to get that! Let us know what you think of it won't you Reaps? :)

I watched The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms last night for the first time and thought it was AMAZING! Brilliant special effects - I really enjoy these types of films!!

Mojo 27th August 2009 06:47 PM

Arizona Colt Returns

Not a fan of westerns, although I don't mind the odd spaghetti western. I mainly bought this one for Rosalba Neri :eyebrows:
It's pretty good of its type with lots of sidekicks called Double Whiskey; Filthy Bottle etc  and a cool soundtrack. Pretty good widescreen print from MYA.

alex s 30th August 2009 07:47 AM

watched this last night
Excreamer
http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/a...scan0004-1.jpg

thought the previous review on this site was quite harsh, yes it is very very amateur but there are far worse films out there, reminds me of a very early Andreas Schnass film. if you like the German Splatter then give it a spin, just don't expect a challenging thought provoking film.

alex ;)

Kyle 30th August 2009 08:07 AM

hey alex

where did you get this ive looked on his site but i cant see it?

alex s 30th August 2009 08:35 AM

I ordered Fantacide off him but it took 2 weeks to arrive. I sent him a message via contact us on his site about the postage delay, and also a question about the availability of Xcreamer.

He sent me a free copy of Xcreamer because of the delay

just contact him through his site i'm sure he'll sort you out

alex

Kyle 30th August 2009 08:51 AM

thanx alex

mbv 31st August 2009 12:16 PM

Inside Now this is a film that seriously freaked me out. Had me on edge for the whole movie. Some great gore throughout.

The French really are making some great horror movies!!

Paul 31st August 2009 12:39 PM

Just finished watching Phantom of death(Shameless).

Pretty good although it kinda fizzled out towards the end. Great seeing Donald Pleasance in his crazy loon cop role again!!

Yep, I'm seriously considering getting it now. Code Red have just released The Weekend Murders - another one I'm thinking of picking up!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 31st August 2009 08:43 PM

I watched Hithcock's The Birds last night, which I hadn't seen in a long time, plus watched a very odd Italian made horror/sci-fi/thriller today called Stridulum AKA The Visitor which had an even odder cast comprising of Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford, Lance Henriksen, John Huston, Shelley Winters, Sam Peckinpah and Franco Nero... Shame that it was rubbish. :mmph:

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 31st August 2009 09:19 PM

Weekend Murders..aka Savage Weekend?
David Paulsen film?

It's the Michele Lupo film AKA Concerto per pistola solista.

Code Red are also releasing The Visitors at some point.
