I have the excellent BLUE VELVET, which is my opinion David Lynch's best film WILD AT HEART is good As for DUNE and INLAND EMPIRE, crao I haven't yet seen MULHOLLAND DRIVE, but it's confusing anyway. No one seems to understand it There are the clues but.... It's a shame Lynch makes these films I don't think he know what is going on Last edited by James Morton; 30th June 2010 at 05:23 PM. |

Her kids are just as bad but in anoher way! Seriously though, THE CHILDREN wasn't bad for a 15 cert horror but I prefer Brit horrors like DOGHOUSE, CRADLE OF FEAR, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, THEATRE OF BLOOD et al |

Tales from the Crypt has just been re-released following a brand-new digital restoration process and it looks and sounds much better than any other I've seen, and that includes the Midnite Movies version. I'm doing all I can to persuade the company to do the same with Vault of Horror as, as far as I know, the only version released in the UK was the now out of print Vipco disc.

Watched Anthropophagus for the first time in about 5 years . It's still not a 'good' film but is enjoyable in a bad way and the island setting is effective and has a genuinley creepy atmosphere and Goerge Eastman is scary as Anthro. One thing annoys me about the end - every review says that the beast eats his guts at the end, but he doesn't, he just puts them between his teeth, looks up and falls to the ground. There is no chewing or swallowing. Also watched: The Antichrist (1974) - boring exorcist knock off. The Philadelphia Experiment - Underrated sci - fi thriller. Would make a great double bill with The Final Countdown. Last edited by Pete; 30th June 2010 at 09:10 PM. |

Hopefully TALES FROM THE CRYPT is also widescreen, and I did read the company re-releasing VAULT OF HORROR is going to be the same as the old crap print on the Vipco dvd - hopefully not in this day and age! With DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS, I have the Anchor Bay dvd, but the final scene is missing, and I recorded the BBC2 with the proper version, though not 2:35.1 so will this new dvd be the same as Anchor Bay? |
