I can't remember everything I've seen recently, but the titles that come to mind are:
Them (ils) -- a really clever and disturbing home invasion film
The Descent -- easily the best horror film of 2005 and one of the best movies of that year
Wolf Creek -- nasty, disturbing and extremely believable; it's amazing that Greg McLean has only made one film since then (Rogue, which is really good)
Let the Right One In -- the best movie of 2009 and, for me, the best non-English language film since Pan's Labyrinth
A Prophet -- a deserved winner of the Palme d'Or and an extremely intricately plotted prison drama
A Single Man -- Colin Firth is terrific as an English teacher in an American school in the summer of 1962 who sets out one day to kill himself. It looks absolutely stunning and Julianne Moore is, as always, brilliant.
Messiah of Evil: the Second Coming -- a fascinating 'infected people' film that I really need to watch again (and again with the commentary)
Bubba Ho-Tep -- still brilliant after all these years and looking and sounding great in high definition. Just need to go through the two commentary tracks and all the extra features before writing my review.

well first RE was the best and then 2nd and then 3rd.
As far as zombie movies as a whole, none of the RE movies come even close to being with the top dogs

Has this film got another title because I can't seem to find what this film is? It's not on the imdb

Dellamorte Dellamore - really enjoyed this but looking forward to watching it again to try and get my head around it The plot seemed to have everything but the kitchen sink in there but it looks stunning and Rupert Everett is great.

Ah 1973's Dead People, this hasn't had a proper UK release yet and I heard it's quite good.
