Fair enough. Watched A Time To Kill and that's all. Not really a fan of the courtroom genre tbh.

A Time to Kill is fantastic. That will probably be my next rewatch.

A cool mix of legal thriller, racial tensions and southern Gothic.

MAD MAX (1979)

Relatively unknown actor Mel Gibson hits the road for the first time as road cop Max in this low budget movie.
High speed action and stunts make great viewing but the best was yet to come..

Don’t Answer the Phone! (1980)

Inspired by the L.A. hillside strangler, Nicholas Worth gives an excellent turn as a disturbed Vietnam veteran who pretending to be a photographer, picks up women off Subset Strip before choking them to death with a stocking.

The phone of the title is because Worth regularly calls a local lady doctor on a radio phone in, mocking her tirelessly before she becomes the 'final girl'.

This is one hell of a grimy film. The violence is gratuitous and highly exploitative with each victim forcibly groped in the seconds prior to death.

Don’t Answer the Phone! isn't a likable film, in fact i'd class it alongside Fulci's The New York Ripper when it comes to exploitative, sleazy, violence towards women and yet Worth's deranged performance makes the thing highly watchable due to it's matter of fact grimness elevating the film to a scuzzier existence far above typical slasher fayre.

Blood Mania (1970)

Talk about the title of a film being misleading when it comes to the actual contents.

Now if it were called Boobs Mania it would have been more accurate.

Indeedy, but that's exploitation for you.

It's the best one, got quite a cast in hindsight.

Default Fortress, American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt & Basic Instinct

Fortress
Christopher Lambert is sent to a prison in the future where escape is apparently impossible lol. Loved this film when it came out, it's lost it's luster but still decent enough.

American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt

This is where David Bradley takes over as the American Ninja, Steve James reprises his role. The world's best Karate fighters are enticed to a tropical island where a germ warfare dealer is trying to test his latest creation on the world's strongest warrior. This film is not good, it's too corny and the fight scenes are not very good at all. When this film was released in 1989, it might have been seen as really good (If that video shop didn't have any Hong Kong/Jackie Chan videos for rent) but in 2020 it certainly hasn't aged well at all. I really don't see myself watching this again.

Basic Instinct

All controversy aside and you remove all the sex scenes, it still holds up as a decent enough thriller. Maybe it's a little too long but it's not a drag.
