I love the Phantasm movies! It's amazing how much bang Coscarelli gets out of his buck. Look at PIV for an example of how to mix originally discarded footage in with new. Remarkable! Then, there's Bubba Ho-Tep coming out, of course

I own the Anchor Bay Sphere Collection all decked out in an oversize (?) silver sphere. They are films that I'd like to see Arrow release on BR with the future online sequel segments promised a while back. I wonder what happened to those?

I completely agree -- the Phantasm movies are totally bonkers but Angus Scrimm is a fantastic screen presence and that cry of "Booooyyy!" is deservedly this stuff of horror legend.

Have you seen the footage of Scrimm at a convention? He's a charming and very witty guy. Upon request he goes through all his lines from Phantasm 2. Classic stuff!

Watched the classic Nightmare Castle last night.

One of my favourite gothic horror films of all time.

Phantasm is probably my favourite American franchise. It has something that the others don't.

The Soundtracks to the movies are amazing.

I watched 'Once Upon A Time In The West' over the past two nights.

Yet another film I haven't seen and will add to the 'to buy' list!

Actually, never mind -- I've just added it to my Lovefilm list.

One of my favourite films (of which I have many) and a beautiful score by the maestro.

Hope you enjoy it, Nos. It's one of my favourite Barbara Steele films, along with Castle of Blood, Long Hair of Death and The Mask of Satan.

How did you manage to stop watching halfway through? I couldn't even if I was tired -- I'd just carry on watching into the wee hours! I never even take a break when watching Once Upon a Time in America and specifically bought the special edition so I didn't have to switch discs halfway through the movie. I can't wait for it to be released in HD though.

I've nearly finished by Luis Buñuel collection and only have The Young One to go. They are all terrific movies by one of the all-time great directors.
