Damn! Thanks for that.

Have you the Criterion Easy Rider? Any idea if it's so much better than the normal blu.

Double damn! The Star Trek collection is now out of stock on Amazon.

PSYCHO II. 1983.

After 22 years, Norman Bates is released back in to society with a part time job at a diner and hoping to restore the Bates Motel, soon after Mother starts making appearances.

This is a great sequel to a masterpiece that gave us doubts about staying in a hotel or taking a shower for that matter, Anthony Perkins returns as Norman who wants to adjust to life in the open and seems to have met a new friend Mary played by Meg Tilly, Mary has other options about befriending Norman due to her mother Lila Loomis who was formerly known as Lila Crane.

From the opening sequence from the first film to the end the film goes at a fairly steady pace and it's more psychological horror rather than full horror with the plot line and some decent kills. Richard Franklin done a decent job directing this even at the end, with the house and mother sat in the window and Norman at the top of the stairs with dark clouds coming over makes feel like something Hitchcock would do, with a great score by Jerry Goldsmith.

I have got both Easy Rider editions, Sony Classics and the Criterion one, Criterion is the better of the two, and extra comm track with Hopper and the Producer, and more docs, both versions have Shaking the Cage on it though. Picture quality is way better than the DVD on either version.

Not bothered about the three with Pine and co. They aren't proper Star Trek as far as i'm concerned.
With Discovery , the Kelvin timeline has been wiped from existence so those movies never happened now!

And speaking of Star Trek... getting TNG on blu will be one of your better choices They restored it within an inch of it's life, Paramount did a fantastic job.

It was an amazing job looks amazing and the improved effects are done well and aren't jarring like the star wars special editions . The original series was also very well done .

I am still hoping that deep space 9 gets the same treatment

All that's nagging me is the True HD track on the Sony Classics release that isn't on the Criterion.

I absolutely love the True HD tracks on the Resident Evil set. Even better than the 5:1 HD DTS MA track on the later films.

Criterion is the only one that has the original Mono soundtrack though, I always prefer the original tracks on classic films, modern films though I love the bells and whistles

You can probably pick up the Sony Classics one for less than a fiver used. Why not buy both and sell the one you don't like as much

I think i'll just order the Criterion one.

I've decided not to go for second hand blu-rays. Don't want any possible scratches or shabby covers on discs as this will be my last time of buying these films so i'd like them as immaculate as possible.
