Think it's the same for most of on here, but Def was just awful one skull at most, I should try some of the lower rated films on Shudder , might be pleasantly surprised , they can't be any worse than Def.

Some I have watched and been surprised at, I tried to watch The Funeral Home and ended up switching it off, a very slow burner.

Saw Def By Temptation in the 90s not long after it came out and I don't think I made it all the way through, I thought Shudder would have avoided this film completely.
Been yrs since I saw this but I’m pretty sure Samuel Jackson’s in it somewhere.

He is, don't think this is one he wants to be remembered for.

THERAPY. 2016.

Two police officers uncover a set of cameras, as they go through them, they think it's just a group having a holiday then something happens to the group that become's a search and rescue.

This was a good attempt at a part POV and normal footage film from a 17 year old from France, the acting is decently done even from the female officer who is going through the footage, as well as the group who are being hunted in a cat and mouse survival night and a interesting plot twist that can be a bit predictable 3/4 of the way through the film, it is worth a glance if you don't mind subtitles.

One of my absolute favourites, an acting and film making masterclass in my opinion.

Working my way through the really nice Imprint boxset of 'Hammer House of Horror'. Only four episodes in, but liking it a lot. Looks and sounds great too - this set was a blind buy, regarding both the content and the quality, and I couldn't be happier with it.
Edit: just posted this in the TV section, please delete if necessary.

Sator. 2019.

In the middle of a forest, a disfunctional family believe they are being targeted by a demon called Sator.

This was listed as a unique gem on Shudder, unique yes it was like something different in the woods, not exactly The Evil Dead or The Witch, perhaps nearly Blair Witch. Gem, maybe to some but not to me, the cinematography was good as it goes to color and black & white with a old camcorder, the acting is somewhat mediocre but not the greatest but a very slow burner, maybe isolation from the outside world that is driven the characters to see and hear things, seen it once and that's it for me.

I picked this up a few weeks ago from Asda for a fiver. Kim Newman rated it well in Empire.

I quite enjoy slo-burn movies if i'm in the right mood, it's just at the moment i'm in a 'make the house crumble with blu-ray sound' mood.
