Snowed in under 3 feet of snow today, so between bouts of Mario Kart and Wii Sports I decided to watch ..

.... Indy Jones/Kingdom Skull on BD

I know its quite poor, but for some reason it is a guilty pleasure of mine!

i have to agree with you there sarg, there's something about that film that is strangely entertaining yet utterly crap at the same time...

Watched Django, Tremors on DVD and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs on Blu which looked stunning.

Have Twilight: Eclipse to watch tonight, i have been told it is the best of the 3 so far but am not holding out any hopes for it.

Bad Santa - a very funny Christmas comedy and probably considerably nearer the truth than all the saccharine sweetness you'll see in the shops this year.

Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS - What can I say? Tasteless in the extreme but also fun in parts. Some of it was a bit much for me though.

I know this is sacrilege in these 'ere parts but I've quite enjoyed the Twilight films. Eclipse is definitely the best of the 3 so far.Has some good action scenes in it. What did you think Ped?

in my opinion the best of the three so far. Tighter, better direction, and a more coherent plot than the previous. to be honest i quite enjoyed the first, hated the second and really liked the third. It helps when a film has a good diector like David Slade too.

I feel like I've inadvertently stumbled into a teenage pyjama party with all this talk of Twilight...

Anyway, watched Cronenberg's Videodrome on Blu-Ray last night - absolutely stunning. An essential purchase, and high up on my list for release of the year.

My order was shipped yesterday so I should be in a position to watch it (and see if your high praise was warranted) in a week or so, hopefully less. I might actually put on the DVD tonight so it is fairly fresh in my memory when I watch the BD and will be able to judge the AV improvements.
