I didn't bother upgrading to DVD as the picture would have been identical anyway so I dunno if the cut footage was reinserted. I've just tried the BBFC's website but it's got a crap search engine.

Here it is
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classi...9?OpenDocument

There doesn't appear to be a re-submission so it's probably still cut.

I haven't seen it but some reviews say the Dark Vision release is actually uncut. It was just not submitted to the BBFC.

84 Charlie MoPic - a criminally overlooked movie and one of the best POV movies out there.

Picked up a few cheap DVD's in CEX this afternoon.

Got 2019: After the fall of New York
The Mangler
The Mangler 2: Graduation Day
Slumber Party Massacre
The Warriors: Ultimate Edition
The Ice Cream Man (so good they could only find an amazon customer review to quote on the front cover )
Funeral for a Friend: Spilling blood in 8mm, this ones not a horror film obviously but I'm a pretty big fan and it was only £1.50 so I couldn't resist.

Also got my copy of Black Shampoo in the post which I'm really looking forward to.

Slumber Party Massacre is very tame, barely deserves it's 18 rating. Although the BBFC cuts were restored it still looks cut, especially the murder in the van. Presumably MPAA cuts. The front cover of the UK DVD appears to have been changed probably for censorship reasons. Anyone seen the US disc will see what the alterations are. Exactly the same thing happened with Sorrority House Massacre. The VPRC can still be a bit strict.

No. Some companies simply choose to do so for reasons I have never been able to fathom.
