Really, really, REALLY need to get The Changeling though.
The Changeling is brilliant, very very creepy especially the seance scene.

As I'm new here, please indulge me in the films I've watched over the past week or so.

Paul: I liked it. It's a haven for sci-fi geekery and I nearly had to ask for new pants a few times! Still, some conceits are over-used and grated a little. It's not as good as Hot Fuzz, but is better than Shaun. (I realise that may be slightly blasphemous, but I just don't love SotD: I like it, but don't love it).

The Adjustment Bureau: Hmm, not horrible, but I'd liken it to Inception as a chick-flick. I was with it for about 3/4 but the ending is kinda soppy. Still, not the worst PKD adaptation out there

The Killing of Sister George (DVD): I never tire of this and watch it quite regularly. Groundbreaking for UK film, gay film and film in general. Beryl Reid is just wonderful. A film I like to class as a bit horrific without being horror.

Hellbent (DVD) Yay! I saw someone else mention this! Again, I watch this a fair bit. Great slasher film. Just great. I absolutely urge anyone to see it. If you're not gay, disregard the sexuality and revel in the set-pieces, humour and ending, which is pretty atypical. If you are gay, all of the above and...well...

Solomon Kane - recorded from SkyHD: Some good CGI. Erm, that's about it. Phoned in performances and non-sensical character development. Shame, as I like Robert E. Howard. Can we hope for a decent Conan from Jason Momoa?

Daybreakers (SkyHD): Loved the concept, liked some execution, really liked some deaths. Coolness with the gore! But, overall, lacked passion and punch. Could and should have been so much better.

The Return (DVD): Ffs Buffy, what were you thinking? Execrable! 'Nuff said!!!!!!

Angel Heart (DVD): Astonishingly, I'd never seen this. Something always put me off, and I have no idea what. The sense of Southern sweat is palpable, De Niro's beard and nails are both very impressive and a pre-surgery Rourke is revelatory! Wonderful!

and lastly

Last Exit to Brooklyn (DVD): Wow! So, so much more powerful than I ever thought it would be. I've owned this DVD for about four years and have been well aware of the film since its release, but never really wanted to see it. Wow! Powerhouse filmmaking at its very best. Emotive, (very) disturbing, beautiful, repulsive...adjectives fail me! (Actually, they don't, but I figure that's enough!)

Anyhoo, had a good week last week. Less time this week, but hope to make time for at least The Book of Eli, Coffin Rock and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (from Sky) and maybe Eden Log, The Haunting in Connecticut and Vinyan: Lost Souls on DVD.

just finished watching dying breed 7/10 typical red necks in the wood type of film

then watched Slow torture puke chamber ?/10

this was defo the best in the vomit gore trilogy in my opinion and if you thought a Serbian film's baby scene was rough wait till you see the baby scene in this! the film is more like an extreme porn really with things including Emetophilia, Hierophilia, Urophilia and plenty of gore! to be honest it was quite hard to watch at times.

To be honest, I'm not quite sure of that would be my cup of tea as it sounds a little too extreme!

I also think Mother of Tears is underrated. I've watched it 3 times and have enjoyed every minute of it. Its his best film since Opera.
