That's a lot of films for one day. The most I normally manage is four, but then I don't start until mid-afternoon as I spent the morning and early afternoon working and then take a bit of R&R in the afternoon/evening, doing a bit of work every now and again.

Six films in one day! Actually, I think my record is about eight or nine as, when my brother was on his gap year and went travelling around Egypt, Syria and Jordan, he challenged me to watch all the films in my DVD collection whilst he was away. As it was about a third the size it is now, I didn't think this was insurmountable but would still spend a couple of days getting up in the morning, putting a DVD on, watching it, taking it out and replacing it with the next on my list and so on until about 11 o'clock at night!

Needless to say, I had watched them all with about three weeks to spare. I doubt I could do anything like that now, even if he was away for three times as long.

Watched When a Stranger Calls last night and thought it was great. I can't remember as being as genuinely scared by a film since I watched 'Black Christmas' (with which it shares one or two similarities) for the first time. Some great performances as well.

It's now my mission in life to get hold of When a Stranger Calls Back (although I'm struggling to see where they'd go with a sequel )

Only ever seen the remake of When a Stranger Calls. It wasn't bad for a pg horror.

Worth a look on eBay, sometimes Buy It Now for £7/£8. It's an odd one the sequel; there's one bit in it that is simultaneously genius and also insanely silly. It's worth a watch though

just watched a pretty decent crime film called White Sands, was interesting to see Sam Jackson at the start of his career and Mickey Rourke at the end of his. Quite Noir-ish too.

Watched Unhinged (1982)...
Slow moving and some awful acting by the "college girls" but atmospheric....and this one has a great final scene which makes it ok in my book.
A few good kills as well, although I thought at first that the first one was rather clumsily staged (seems the framing is off, more below).
Definitely somewhat influenced by Hitchcock's Psycho.

$spoilers$
I watched the UK dvd and the first murder's framing is off it seems.
If you have it,compare it to the clip below.
I wonder if the US dvd has this correctly framed?

[edit] could it be the BBFC wanted this re-framing on the UK dvd?
