Watched Deathdream, a good little 70's zombie flick about a soldier in Vietnam returning to his family's home even though he's been officially declared as killed in action. This was the first film Tom Savini worked on as Alan "Deranged" Ormsby's make-up FX assistant.

Been looking at Deathdream on Blue underground for months now and never got round to ordering it. The fact someone rates it is a plus.

Don't buy the film expecting an all out zombie gorefest, it's very subtle.Richard Backus plays his part as the cold, emotionless soldier, Andy, very well.

Watched The Blood Spattered Bride last night.

A very good and quite strange film, that was once sooo difficult to pick up as a pre-cert video.

A modern day gothic horror based on the Carmilla story by Le Fanu.
Starring the very lovely Alexandra Bastedo (The Champions) as Carmilla, resurrected from the dead. Gory and very sexy.

Good film but I didn't like the scene were they kill that poor fox.

No me neither. Quite sure it was real, the trap really did look to have it in discomfort / pain.

I have The Blood Spattered Bride as an 'extra' on the BU Daughters Of Darkness BD. I really like the film - it's a pity it wasn't upgraded to HD.

I've had the disc for a while and haven't watched it yet so didn't realise that was one of the extra features until I had a close look at the back cover following your post! I would have realised it was there eventually (i.e., when I found time to watch the disc and the special features), but this gives me a real incentive! -- thanks.
