Default What films have you seen recently?

Romero's BRUISER - not one of his best, but still good
THE UNTOUCHABLES - De Palma's gangster masterpiece

Just watched the Optimum blu-ray of my all time favourite war film - CROSS OF IRON - and **** me did it look amazing! Optimum deserve applause for such an amazing release. I doubt it's ever looked as good as it does here - it's a billion times better than any version I've seen before. Seriously, I can't heap enough praise on this blu-ray, it's absolutely stunning. Well done Optimum.

Saw Hobo With a Shotgun last night on a double bill with Machete (with trailers for CHUD and Dolomite in the interval.) I'll post my thoughts later if I get the nod from a mod, as I'm aware its not officially released yet

Having just watched and reviewed the excellent Faccia a Faccia, I'm keen to get my hands on that -- which is the best version around?

I suggest getting the new Eureka dvd or the old Koch one (if you can still find one).
They seem to have almost identical pic quality (Koch maybe a tiny bit sharper and bit more grain showing) according to what I've read.

Direct (free shipping I think):
Eureka Offers - May/June New Releases

Sorry if my post was a little confusing, I have Faccia a Faccia, but want to check out Sergio Sollima's other films, beginning with Sabata and The Big Gundown.

Yes, I did mean those two, but I also want to see Sabata as I'm going through the other highly rated films produced by Alberto Grimaldi.

Thanks for the links -- I'll check those out and see how much more damage by bank account can take!
