OK, so HHTH is a bad film, but I loved it! It's so sleazy and unpleasant contrasting with the goofy acting and 70s cliché characters. Very entertaining.

I may need to track down some more drive-in exploitation of this kind. Too bad all those Something Weird disks are OOP!
Have you seen "Scream Bloody Murder", "Death Game" and "Poor Pretty Eddie" off the top of my head. All great, all slightly wigged out and if you like HHTH, I'm sure you'll like them.

Apologies all, for the 3 posts, how do you do multiple quotes?

No problem - we try and encourage as much posting as possible!

Just below the 'Like' there is a button which looks like this:

Once clicked the quote marks turn yellow, which tells you you've 'stored' the quote. After selecting all the posts you want to quote, just hit Reply and all should be present in your message.

I also agree with you on Scream Bloody Murder, Death Game and Poor Pretty Eddie being along the same lines as HHTH - they're all definitely worth a look. Poor Pretty Eddie is a nice little oddity in particular!

I've seen Scream Bloody Murder, which is great! I'll get on the case with the other too. Been meaning to get hold of them for a while anyway.

Cheers!

I've seen those two very recently as I went on a bit of a Brian De Palma binge before watching Obsession. Over the past few nights I've watched:

V for Vendetta (not the best thing the Wachowski brothers have made, but excellent adaptation of the graphic novel)

Martyrs (improves on every viewing)

The Hills Have Eyes (remake and the sequel -- prefer the original, but these are good fun)

Spartacus (classic movie; shame the BD doesn't have a mono track)

Oldboy (the best thing Park Chan-wook has made so far)

Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (great movie)

The Funhouse (four times including commentaries - review should be up tomorrow)

Drive Angry (rubbish)

A Snake in June (excellent)

Terror (very good Argento homage by Norman J Warren)

Hello G, if you check out the members reviews thread, I've posted a couple of reviews on the more sexploitation end of drive in/scuzzhouse cinema, mainly Something Weird Video releases. I must do more, I've stacks of the bleeders all over the house waiting to be watched.

I dont understand the hate for Drive Angry

If Drive Angry isn't supposed to be taken seriously, why does it have so many references to Greek mythology?
