I wouldn't mind seeing Humongous on DVD. My Bloody Valentine is now out uncut, Slaughter High is coming out soon which is brilliant news. Without doubt one of the best slashers of the '80s and typical Dick Randall fare in that it's bad but so much fun.

2009 is shaping up to be a great year for slasher movie fans!

The video was cut further than the cinema version (mostly to the opening rape/dog attack scene) though it featured a longer print.

Humongous thread here.

I've been using Movietyme for my recent imports of new releases. They're quite competitively priced (although delivery does take a couple of weeks). Plus, they test the Blu-Ray discs they sell to make sure they're region free, which is really useful. I'm currently waiting on a BD's of Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Friday the 13th Uncut.

They're doing the recent MBV DVD release for £10.99

It's difficult to separate censorship & exploitation films as so many were & still are censored to this day.Just look at how many of our beloved Shameless titles have suffered (still so in the case of NYR) at the scissors of the BBFC in the past.

Thankfully only two so far. NYR didn't surprise me at all though I thought the BBFC cuts to Venus In Furs were pretty excessive.
