I really like Event Horizon - Sam Neill is the dude.

I'm not fond of AVP. At least it's better than Requiem and Predators, though!

I couldn't stand Predators - awful film.

I'd take the first AVP over it any day.

Totally totally agree. I couldnt believe how bad Event Horizon was when watching it a couple of years ago. Awful acting just put me right off the whole thing, really can't understand the love for that film at all.

Just my two cents:

Event Horizon is a surprisingly accomplished and effective horror/sci-fi movie with decent performances by the entire cast and good gore effects.

Predators is worse than AVP, and AVPR is abysmal.

Just watched "The house that bled to death" from the Hammer house of horror box set. I watched this series on TV when it first aired in the early eighties (I must've been 12 or 13) and was amazed how much I remembered. It all came flooding back as the episode progressed. Can't wait to watch the rest now.

For what it's worth, I love Event Horizon and didn't mind Predators. AVP was truly awful though.

And God Said To Cain... - exceptional film, dreadful print (the "Vigilante Westerns" set version). A "lost" Spaghetti Western classic, I think. Extremely Gothic and dark.
