Default What films have you seen recently?

TENEBRE blu ray - Argento's brilliant giallo is spoiled to an extent by the out of sync scenes at around 26.30 and 67.40, I didn't see anymore......
but Arrow should of corrected this
I'll have to wait longer for the definitive edition of my fave horror

From Indie Wire website. If you look up "Ridley Scott's Prometheus - is it PG" on google then plenty of sites report this from Comic Con.

Until we get nearer its dvd release date we will not know for sure which version is coming out.

On the positive side, i would think all the Alien quadrilogy if released now with a little less swearing would be PG13. A bit of gore can be shown and they aren't exactly the most violent films ever made.

I agree and surprised when the ALEN boxed set came out they are still of course 18 cert
I reckon a 15 would be appropriate, after all, there is more violence and swearing in other films and with a 15 cert
I still can't unsertant why Peckinpah's classic THE GETAWAY is an 18

Cool

All this talk of Alien reminds of back in 79 when some talking heads on radio4 were enthusing over it, "The shocks in this are wonderful, some are out of the blue, so we won't spoil it for you" other guy goes "Oh I agree, I certainly didn't expect the tiny alien to burst from John Hurt's chest after he starts coughing at the table" nice.
Pete and sawyer6 like this.

Well, McQueen and MacGraw are crooks, they make a run for it, AND they are successful. That is - of course - nasty and depraving, especially in the year 2011. There you are: BBFC 18.

Greetings!

Especially as the BBFC are not living in the 21st century!

Exactly how much is Prometheus supposed to be related to the Alien franchise?

It's kind of nice Ridley Scott is involved, I guess, but it's not like he's done much of any worth since the early 90s, so I wouldn't hold out much hope for an Alien quality experience.

There is much truth there, only fat cat bankers can get a PG and a knighthood for doing that, and of course Steve & Ali use violence and kill, all in glorious slow-mo(even in defense) and they pay far too much for that damn truck.
