Well watched Zombie 3 to the end. Quite underwhelmed really. I could tell Fulci didn't have that much input into it, as it certainly didn't have his stamp on much (if any) of it. Low on gore, low on style, high on poor direction. Probably be up for trade soon.

Salt - I was surprised how good this was, can't say much without giving it away. There are three versions of the film on the disc, Theatrical, Extended cut and Director's cut. I didn't know what one to watch out of Director's and Extended so watched the Director's cut.

I, too, thought Salt was better than it has any right to be and am unconvinced by Angelina Jolie as a serious theatrical actress these days. The extended version has a very different ending to the theatrical or director's cut so is worth a watch.

i too was pleasantly surprised by Salt, It was Bourne Lite and had some expert Action Scenes, also always been a bit partial to blonde Angelina. I watched the extended and then checked out the endings on Theatrical and Directors Cuts. Exteneded very very different but still leaves it open for a sequel. Phillip Noyce is a very good at handling action and drama which is why i think the film works so well.....

Salt was OK ... not quite Bourne and certainly not Wanted which I think was much more accomplished a movie.

Just given JJ Abrahams

Star Trek

Another go, this time on BD.

I was much more impressed this time around. The actors got the mannerisms of the original characters spot on ... except for Pegg as Scotty. I have never quite taken to Pegg for some reason.

The film did have faaaaarrrrr too many lens flares though IMHO!

I love Zombieland -- it's such great fun mixing the comedy and horror just right and with one of the greatest cameos in movie history.
