I also found Open Water 2 (or Adrift as I think it was called here) to be tedious and annoying. I lost all patience with the characters when they successfully made a 'rope' out of bikini tops and managed to secure it to something on the boat but then, rather than send the lightest woman to climb up the rope, they chose one of the blokes who looked about 6' 4" and 220lbs with the predictable result that it snapped.

It's one of those films that I've seen in the cinema but never again!

watched National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets yesterday and absolutely enjoyed it again, why george lucas didn't watch this before making Indy 4 is beyond me. Just a great harmless adventure film...

On Sunday I had a Kurt Russell marathon:

Stargate
The Thing
Tombstone

Last night I went to see True Grit. It was awesome! I definitely enjoyed it.

Today I watched:
The Next Three Days
Bedlam
The Lost Patrol

which were good in their own different ways with The Lost Patrol as the weakest of the three -- it's an early John Ford film that shows he can't really make a war movie without it looking and feeling like a Western!

Deep Red - Still can't make up my mind if I like this or Tenebrae the most.

The Ghost
- Korean horror, average but still worthy of a watch.

Wow now did I just have a great night at the cinema or what?

Just got back from watching The King's Speech and 127 Hours. Both absolutely fantastic films.

The King's Speech I could not stop smiling through it from beginning to end.

127 Hours I could not stop hyperventilating through it. James Franco deserves an oscar for that performance, no doubt about it. Kelly nearly fainted on me watching this, I thought I might have had to take her out and miss the ending.
