Watched Tetsuo - The Bullet Man. I saw the trailer and had misgivings. Filmed in the English language? Why??!

Shinya is my fave filmaker. I was wrong to doubt him. Sits brilliantly with the other two films in the trilogy. Imagery you wont find from any other director. And a soundtrack that will kick your face off. Twice. Some clunky acting but other than that...

Cool.

Also a rewatch of Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue. Gets better every time. I love the Lake District so spend half the movie looking for locations I may or may not have driven past.

I watched Arrow's BD of Deep Red for the first time. I know there was a mixed response about this when it came out, in terms of PQ, and I can see why people were disappointed but overall I think it's a great package and while the transfer wasn't the best it didn't bother me too much. It was my first time watching the Director's cut and I have to admit (and this may appear sacriligious to some) but I much prefer the pacing of the shorter version.

But yeah, in summary, I watched Deep Red and the film's just as awesome as I remember

watched Slumber Party Massacre last night, that was jolly good fun. love how the killer is just a dude in a denim jacket. It's as though the writer couldn't be arsed coming up with a costume.

I thought the MGM release was supposedly cut though? Unless I'm thinking of another MGM Midnite Movie release
