There's a little second dvd store near me and the guys been ringing me every few days because some mystery guy is trading loads of old R1 and import stuff in. I'm picking these discs up for a song.

For £20 I got

black belly of the tarantula
blood splattered bride
don't go into the woods...alone
two evil eyes limited two disc numbered edition
seven blood stained orchids
a couple of mgm drive-in flipper discs
and some more that aren't in my eye line right now

I'm trading hollywood mainstream films in at furious speed to keep up.

Season Of The Witch

I was disappointed ( and a bit bored ) with this one when I first watched the old Redemption tape years ago. I suppose I approached it with the view that it was an out and out horror flick, which of course it isn't. Found it more enjoyable this time round - something a bit different. The UK release has a good fun interview with leading actress Jan White, as well as an entertaining episode of The Directors with Mr Romero himself.

Disciple Of Death

Oh gawd. Mike Raven leers and sneers at the camera in this turd from 1972. I love 70s UK horror, but I really can't think of anything good to say about this one. Picture quality is bloody awful too. This makes Raven's other effort ( Crucible Of Terror ) look like a masterpiece. Watch it with a few beers and see if you can stop yourself from laughing. Or falling asleep.

I got Machine Girl as well, which I want to recommend to everyone. Absolutely demented and brilliant.

Yeah should have been out around now. I was interested in this, did some searching and found a few rumors that it had been canceled, but nothing official, though its now been removed from Amazon. But I spotted the OOP AB edition for sale on eBay last week and bought that for ~8 quid so I'm fairly happy. Looked virtually new as well, though I haven't got round to watching it yet.

I heard that a while back, the AB edition was going for silly money, so hopefully BU will re-release it soon.

I came across this yesterday and was very tempted but the price was ridiculous! I'm not paying 20 quid for it. I saw this film ages ago and enjoyed it because it is different and not a 'run of the mill' horror. On-line shopping here I come.

Mine was only a tenner in my local HMV, steve. I wouldn't have paid twenty quid for it either!

Picked up the Last House on the Left Uncut ultimate edition box from HMV today along with Teeth and Zombie Strippers. The Last House boxset is superb, great artwork and it features the 'Krug and Company' cut of the film and feature length docummentary 'Going to Pieces: Rise and Fall of the Slasher Flm'. It was £15.99 in HMV which isn't bad for them really, expected it to be around £30 or something.
