Watched "Black death" last night. Really enjoyed it (even if it wasn't perfect). Sean Bean was born to hold a sword. I'd heard the ending was a bit crappy but I didn't mind the way it finished (although it did seam a little rushed).

Just watched "Body melt" tonight. Haven't seen it in ages but picked it up at a boot sale this morning for a couple of quid. It still cracks me up to see Neighbours cast members swearing thier way through a film like this.

Just watched Spider-man for the first time in ages! Great film and one of the better superhero films imo.

Just seen 2 flicks today.

Firstly Cronenberg's Shivers.
This was great! Not as good as Videodrome or The Brood but still a very good flick.

Then I watched the Oziploitation slasher flick Nightmares.
This was disappointing and bland and boring. The killer was done in the giallo fashion but you know who the killer is from the beginning! So the whole movie becomes just a excuse to kill people and show nudity.

Axe/Lisa Lisa - wonderfully weird little film. Clunky at times, but has a great atmosphere. I liked it.

Watched an Eastwood classic for the first time tonight on VHS - none other than High Plains Drifter. Great film with a Clint whos as badass as ever. Mind you I did find that the villians in this film werent as scary or threatening as I wouldve liked, but besides that a fantastic film with a very interesting little twist ending.

I turned my viewing of Axe into a Harry Novak double bill by watching Hitch Hike To Hell.

OK, so HHTH is a bad film, but I loved it! It's so sleazy and unpleasant contrasting with the goofy acting and 70s cliché characters. Very entertaining.

I may need to track down some more drive-in exploitation of this kind. Too bad all those Something Weird disks are OOP!
