Just finished revisiting Time Walker (1982).
Been years since I last watched it and still enjoyed it (though I did remember the ending).
No classic but a enjoyable twist on the mummy genre.

Btw this feels a lot like a slasher at times...

The new widescreen presentation on the Shout! disc looks very good.

Finished this and I'm not that certain it comes from a negative or ip anymore?
There's reel change markers...and it does look rather soft at times...maybe it was shot that way? (Shout! dvd btw)
Anyway,it certainly has it moments but it's not yet a firm favourite over here..maybe a second viewing would help.

Funny Games (2007 remake). I bloody loved it! I'm watching the original tonight and I have to say it has become an overnight obsession for me.
So much so that I'm now going as Peter for Halloween, and have persuading my significant loser to go as Paul

Watched:

Skyline; surprisingly good with an ending that leaves you shouting"sequel"

Wake Woods; decent enough but nothing special

Frontiers; Pleasantly surprised with this. With all the gore in this movie, what got me the most was a scene which made me feel claustrophobic First film to make me feel like that

Savage Streets; Apart from Linda Blair's sometimes emotionless acting, I really enjoyed this

I've yet to see the 'modernised for the American market' version but will do soon. The original is one of my all time favourite films and still holds the top spot for the most unsettling film I've ever seen.

Modernised? It's scene for scene identical as I recall, only with a more recognisable cast speaking English . . .

Yeah modernised wasn't exactly the right term I used there, can't think of another word to use. It is just shot for shot with English speaking actors.
