I watched that last year and can barely remember it - need to give it another whirl.

John Russo's Midnight

This was much better than I remembered it, mostly because on the Arrow DVD you can actually see what's happening during the dark scenes - unlike the old Intervision video cassette!

Not the greatest print ever - a fair bit of tape damage throughout - but more than watchable and the best I've seen it look and sound. TO be fair, this film probably never looked or sounded that great!

That amazing pre-credits opening sequence in the bleak windy brushland with the mother and the kids and the girl in the trap- was that restored footage or something? I don't remember it at all, and it was so well shot and effective, I think I would have remembered it!

just finished VAMP and i ****ing loved it, everything you want from an 80s movie. Reminded me of Night Of The Creeps and Fright Night throughout and you can clearly see what influenced From Dusk Till Dawn. Also great use of colour, alot like Suspiria in that way. Defo recommend this film and Arrow's blu is fantastic.

Optimum's BD of Night Of The Living Dead : I didn't know prints of this video and audio quality of this film existed! A superb and important film and and one that deserves top notch HD treatment...

...so why have Optimum gone to all this trouble to find such a remarkable source for this vital classic then zoom in the image so the framing looks cramped and off centre? It's probably only something that would bother someone who watches films like I do, but it really has had a fair old strip taken off the top, bottom and right side edges. You only have to compare the scenes of the TV broadcasts around an hour in to the same scenes on any old public domain DVD release to see how messed up it is.

A damned shame, but then again, still the best I have ever seen and - especially - heard this film! And it did only cost £3.50!

Please don't mention Vamp! in the same breath with two real classics.
Vamp! is no total failure, but I thought this movie only tries to be funny - come hell or high water.

80s nostalgia
Excellent Arrow Blu-ray
Good film

Greetings!

Completely agree.

I actually much prefer Vamp to it's '80s cousins Fright Night, The Lost Boys and Night of the Creeps.

Is Vamp the one with Grace Jones. Don't think I've seen it, but it sounds right up my street.
