MYSTERY TRAIN.

Capped the evening off with my personal favourite. Set over one night in memphis the film has three interlocking stories. The first is a japanese teenage couple who are rock and roll enthusiasts, the second a recently widowed italian woman stuck in memphis overnight and the third is about a drunken english ex-pat (joe strummer) who drags his friends into a world of trouble after shooting a man in a liqour store. All three stories focus around a run-down hotel, with the night manager played by SCREAMING JAY HAWKINGS!

(links in to stranger than paradise which uses I PUT A SPELL ON YOU as a major narrative plot point)

If find this "Jack Brooks: Monster Hunter" stuff hilarious, cause there's a guy in my class called Jack Brooks, and he's an idiot

Something I've noticed is that most genuine and nice people belong to some form of fandom, and let me tell you Cult Labs is the nicest place on the Internet to me, and I'm glad I'm part of it!

Plus most genuine and nice guys, like me, are shy...
