They are very cheap and slightly amateurish – especially the first – but that's part of the charm and why they are cult favourites. I prefer the third over the second, but the first is easily my favourite.

MR VAMPIRE. I loved this film when I first saw it years ago on Channel 4 as part of a season of HK genre films...now I find myself wondering if my memory has been playing tricks on me. It's bloody awful. Oddly, I don't think my tastes have changed but rather the film!

I thought it was really good when I saw it at the cinema and it seemed even better on second viewing as the use of the 2008 presidential election as a background to the action made even more sense.

I watched it with my brother who said the film was 'pointless' and really didn't like it so it might be a Marmite movie.

I enjoyed it a good deal. It was actually my third favorite movie from all of last year.
