I find that Lucas has to be one of the luckiest men alive he has no talent as either a director or writer and its was just luck that made him he's fortune.

Don't know if I'd put it down to sheer luck. The guys clearly got a head for business. And his enthusiasm for better or worse can't be denied.

Don't get me wrong I agree has excellent business sense but I do think their was a degree a luck with the originals. And with any luck the new movies will capture the spirt of the originals I really can't see them being worse than the prequels. With any luck they will scout for locations and it won't all be done by green screens.

Re watched thx1138 and thought it was excellent. I don't think early zone Lucas and post Star Wars Lucas ate the same person.

As others have said Lucas worked much better when he was constrained.

If you watch early interviews he has become everything he hated when he was younger. Really seem to have a passion for filmmaking and the fans of his movies now its just about away to make a quick buck.

Am i the only one who considers Star Wars to be A New Hope, Empire and Jedi?

The prequels don't even register as Star Wars to me.

i think if he had made them just after the first 3, with a smaller budget and the technology of the time the prequels would of been a lot better. sadly George cant help but tinker and seems to have a hard on for CGI.

I figure it's like a hobby. He's just very well financed. And the prequels do have a very different tone to the originals which were quite distinct. While I think Disney and Abrams will come up with a better movies than George's prequels I really doubt they'll capture the feel of the original trilogy.

jabberwocky

Hilariously and also very dark in some places, theirs not much of a story but it makes up for it with its gags and great acting from what is a who's who of British comedy. 8/10

Next up frankenstein created woman.
