House on straw hill.

Not actually all that good the film redeems itself by being a lot sleazier than other Brit films coming out around the same time. Udo Kier retires to the countryside and is haunted by Linda Hayden wanking a lot. Glad this got a release as for all its faults its still a real piece of uk cinema history and our only home grown nasty!

ASDA UPDATE. After being left on my own Monday evening to receive a lorry load of frozen and chilled goods it seems I put some of the cages in the wrong place and ruined several grand worth of food. They can't sack me, as they should have never left someone three weeks into the job doing this but its put a target on my head. Combined with my lack of speed tidying the shelves my days are probably numbered.

I should feel worried. Somehow I don't.

Nah it's actually worth a watch mate. It's got big flaws I grant you but it's not a total disaster by any means.

Cheers, perhaps I'll add it to the LF list.

It's in my "to watch" collection, but I am inevitably going to be disappointed after all the plaudits it has got!
It's complete shite, don't watch it.

I liked TRT, but wouldn't go overboard about it.

Les Demoniaques (1974, Jean Rollin)

Spoilers ahead

Some "pirates" ruin an ethereal pair of twins holiday by brutally raping and killing them (on the beach, natch). By spooky sheninagans, they return from the dead to reek their revenge. This is in turns, hilarious and quite effective imo. I can see why people knock this one in particular, but it will definitely be returning to my player asap.

Bride Of Frankenstein (1935, James Whale) All this talk of Universal got me going, so dug out the old warhorse. It never fails, Thesiger's first appearance the highlight for me.

2012. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Woooh! The world's gonna end, but married white people make it through. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Bomb them again

Default Elysium

I saw Elysium this week. Jodie Foster's character's way of speaking seems based on King Joffrey. Not as strikingly marvellous as District 9 felt, but a jolly good class war lark.

Yeah, I always thought Seven psychopaths looked like a turkey as well. It's one of those films on my "avoid" list.

Got dragged to see it kicking and screaming by the missus a few months ago.
