I'm watching this is the moment and it is, along with Grace of Monaco, the worst film I've seen this year. It's devoid of any discernible talent in front of, or behind, the camera and looks its best when it appears the set is lit by green glow sticks!

I'm going to stick with it until the end and see if it improves.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of zero budget film making Nos.

You had better steer clear of most of the films I review...

I like some zero budget films, but this one looks very cheap: even on Amazon Instant, the picture is letterboxed and very fuzzy and the sound was so poor some dialogue was hard to make out. It was also fairly derivative and unoriginal, and the acting wasn't even good enough to be laughable. It was just painful to watch.

I have to agree with you on this. Im a fan of some real low budget films which can be good if done well , or even if they are memorable. But when its just obviously amateur and shit , i don't find that entertaining.

I watched Lady Snowblood last night.
I really enjoyed it, wasn't expecting it to be such a stylishly shot film. For Asian cinema it had an almost gothic quality in places I thought.

The secret to loving zero budget films for me is the endless joy of watching people walk down corridors and/or woodland paths talking about nothing in particular to link the odd bit of gore or nudity. I'm not bothered if there is an original bone in the whole film or if the acting is shite, I'm just glad that every state, county, city and town in America has a metal or hip hop fan(all these films are soundtracked to one or the other) willing to share their vision with us. Sure, some may be torturous to watch but for me that is part of the fun. Any fool can watch a well made film but it takes a special kind of idiot to trek through the wastelands of cinema...just ask Dem and Mr Teardrop, two of the finest idiots I know!
