The blockbuster branch at grahams road,in falkirk had quite a few new blu rays for a tenner, plus two for twenty deals on some chart stuff.

My son bought 10'ooo bc on blu ray for £6,as i finally bought an alba hd tv for the bedroom with a built in dvd player, which plays all regions(£140 from argos)so he can hook his ps3 up to it.

10'000 bc is shite,by the way!

Oooh looks like I'll be sticking to Hammer's 1 Millions Years B.C. then!!!

Just finished watching Snowbeast and really enjoyed it! It was like Jaws but with a yeti! And it had Bo Svenson in it too! A great little film with some superb touches. IMO anyways.

"Cannibal Terror"
http://www.beardyfreak.com/rvcanterror.php

Briefly on the infamous UK ‘Video Nasties’ list, “Cannibal Terror” was quickly removed and promptly sank without a trace, only to re-appear, fully uncut and approved by the BBFC, in 2003.
And boy, do we wish it had stayed lost!

Gore scens are just a dead pig in blue jeans being gutted.
The cannibals are perhaps the worst looking in the entire cannibal sub-genre, being nothing but drunken white dudes with tans and confused locals in bad wigs.
The pacing is leaden.
The dialogue inane
Man: “You mind your own ass”
Woman “My ass is go f*ck yourself” (!?)

The silly Spanish locations lack any atmosphere or threat.
And the film simply doesn’t play or feel at all (dubbing aside) like those Euro Trash movies we love so much.
This is more “Camp Blood” than “Zombi 2”.

Overall then a complete and utter stinker. A total waste of celluloid and one of the worst (though perhaps not quite the worst, maybe) films on the ‘Video Nasties’ list.
Trust me…Just don’t bother.

I think dvd will still reign supreme at the moment in the tall dude household, although said son may get the odd blu ray disc in his xmas stocking.

Just ordered this little lot....

Still game xmas and new year specials.
Steptoe and son xmas specials.
In sickness and in health-series 3.
Halloween night.
rab c nesbit-series 4.
One eyed monster.
Horrible.
Awaken the dead.
Hell house.
Taste of flesh.
Tokyo gore police.
Jim davidson-uncovered and uncensored.

Watched dead snow last night...bloody brilliant.
A great, gory zombie flick, with some really creepy atmospheric scenes before the blood starts flying, and believe you me,theres plenty of the red stuff in the last half hour. Great stuff!!
