I wouldn't bother, Nos. Batman v Superman is far worse than Suicide Squad.

It should tell you something that they tried to salvage it with extra footage for home viewing.

It's worth it imo. Photography is very nice, Affleck makes a great Wayne/Batman and you'll get to see more Wonder Woman action. Watch the 3 hr cut if you pick it up, avoid theatrical version.

Studios have done that with various films through the years with varying degrees of success. I suppose the biggest downside is buying or borrowing a copy and, as the end credits roll, feeling as if I've wasted three hours of my life.

I think Snyder's Watchmen and Batman v Superman were always supposed to be 3 hours long. It's just that movie studios want shorter theatrical versions so they can put more bums on seats and make more money. It's nice that the full-length versions appeared on bd (but sadly not dvd).

Could that be a storage issue, with films containing such huge amounts of information needing to be spread across two DVDs?

Probably yeah. I think when 3 hr films would appear on dvd, they were often presented in two parts on seperate discs. Am thinking of Once Upon A Time In America or the Hobbit/LOTR films.

Fully agree. BvS is utter trash. Sloppily edited, bizarre character motivations and a dreadful attempt T being 'grown up by going full blown edge Lord. Zac Snyder's watchmen was decent as he had great storyboards in the form of a graphic novel. His Dawn of the dead remake was solid thanks to a great script from James Gunn . Beyond that I'd say he's actually a terrible director. He's a great visual stylist for sure but any narrative where someone else hasn't done all the leg work ahead of time ends up being a total garbage fire. BvS was the worst film of that year. Suicide squad was a mess but thanks to having a better director things mostly hung together bare the awful joker. Wonder woman was great until the light show finale. Until then it was the first competently directed thing I'd seem from the dcu.

I thought Watchmen was amazing. Easily Snyder's best film imo. I even really liked the film's changed finale. It made much more sense than what I had previously read in a graphic novel. btw I know 300 is popular but I've never liked it.

For what it's worth I think Suicide Squad is brilliant. Batman vs Superman is just a mess.
