I'm safe because my misses hates any type of ROM com or chick flick and said I've to slap her and give her head a shake if she ever went down that route.

so gloriously bad, its brilliant. a spaceship heads to the moon and are brought down by a superior race who have crashed and are seeking help with a sick crewman and head back to earth seeking a doctor in Africa with a cure, once there they have to contend with the local army and a sinister bond like organisation after the spaceship and its technology. 7.5/10

Considering the catalogue of porn online. The effectiveness of weight loss is dropped substantially.

Personally i'll give most films a shot if i'm bored and there's something that turns up on T.V, true i won't purposely go out to buy something i think looks shit.

The amount of bad films i've ended up watching on the horror channel.

Doesn't mean i'll stick the entire film out though if it's a pile of shite.

I watched part of 50 shades when it turned up on T.V and yes it was shit and i didn't stick it out.
But when films are slated i have a perverse desire to give them a chance, there are a lot of films i enjoy that critics really trash, stuff such as Bloodsucking freaks that someone reviewed earlier on here.

You never know till you give it a go.

As to rom coms and chick flicks i'm not a major fan either, but occasionally i'll flick on to one on T.V and get drawn in, sat and watched a Cameron Diaz thing the other night called 'The Other Woman' because it came on and drew me in.
The other week i ended up watching 'Wanderlust' with Jennifer Aniston (who i really dislike normally), both weren't great but had moments i found amusing.

Likewise i always avoided Disney stuff (apart from Jungle Book) till i had a kid, then through her i grew to appreciate a lot of them much more.

Things like 50 shades have a vague connection to films like 'The Story of O' and sleazy cult stuff like 'Venus in furs' and 'The Frightened woman' or Jess Franco stuff in it's use of sadomasochism, so it could have been interesting but has none of the style/sleaze or artistry to 'elevate' it.(ahem)

I'm not trying to have a go gag, just think that your closing your mind off to possibilities.

For instance here are a few films that could be considered Rom-coms but i really enjoyed.

Roxanne
When harry met Sally
The Apartment
It happened one night
Gregory’s girl
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Princess Bride
Wedding singer
Annie hall
There’s something about Mary
Harold and Maude

Go on gag, give Bridget Jones a go, you know you want to.

No worries just harmless banter at end of the day,
No offence taken at all , (he says while watching him through the binoculars waiting for him moment to go for the kill)
Each to their own in the long run ,

Imo I rather watch a Disney film than likes of 50 shades .

Most of them films would not appeal to me , Adam Sandler , Ben stiller and Owen Wilson and the likes they don't do owt for me , Sam and me was talking about them last night and they have over 150 film between them (not including films they been in together ) and seen less than 15 but doesn't mean I won't watch a film their in if I fancy the film, chances are unlikely tho
And I don't always go by reviews either , sometimes films get highly rated but don't take my fancy from trailers etc , but not saying I won't watch them somewhere down the line in time to come and how many times have film critics loved films but film fans haven't and vice versa , I do give most film a chance despite my whinge bagging about certain actors and films...hence on one of my previous comments I said i also like to go for films I don't know,
or know much about that way can't be disappointed just more pleasantly surprised
Have seen one or two ROM com's its the pure soppy lush etc type that can't be doing with.
But can get away with four wedding and funeral that's more light hearted ROM com to me without being to mushy .

I would add:
His Girl Friday
The Philadelphia Story
Bringing up Baby
Some like It Hot
The Graduate
The Shop Around the Corner
(500) Days of Summer
Roman Holiday
Chasing Amy
Amélie
Groundhog Day
The Princess Bride
Silver Linings Playbook

These are all great films which would fit into the 'romantic comedy' category.

A classic in my humble opinion. Giant floating octopus/eye monsters , psychic girl, zombies and Warren Mitchell playing a scientist. People are disappearing and headless bodies are appearing around a small village near the trollenberg mountains. It's up to a group of scientists with the help of a psychic girl to figure out whats going on. 8.5/10

Now watching this.

Terror in Beverly Hills is great, but you do have to sit through 20 minutes of garbage at the start.

The first 20 minutes or so are dull, but if you can sit through it, then what you get is an enjoyable action film with some unintentional comedy throughout. Cameron ("will you close that f**king door") Mitchell steals the show with some of the best lines throughout. But Frank Stallone is hardly in it, which isn't good as his face is on the cover. The major issue is the audio it is so bad I had to reduce the volume on my TV just so I don't annoy the neighbors.

Body puzzle

A demented serial killer is butchering people and stealing body parts. He's doing this all to Night on bald mountain. Music best remembered here and in Disney's fantasia. The killer is leaving the body parts as nice presents for the widowed Tracey played by Joanna Pacula. Tough cop Michele is on the case and also Tracey and begins to realise that the killings have some kind of connection to Tracey's late husband.
Made in 1992 at a point where a lot of Italian genre pictures had descended to the point of cheap (but strangely entertaining) rubbish, Body Puzzle is one of the few genre pictures not made by Michele Soavi to have some class and production value. Perhaps it was the Bava name, or simply the fact that he could turn out these kinds of films without the need for a huge budget that kept the quality on his films but either way Body Puzzle is one of the most entertaining of the later era Giallo pictures and one of his best films.
