A fantastically fun movie the first film and this are easily more fun/ better sci fi films than force awakens and last jedi, this like jedi has a Mary Poppins scene, but here it's not awful and is quite funny. While "fake" 4k it's one of the best uses of HDR. 9/10

A classic, excellent acting all round and expertly directed by local boy Ridely Scott. A great looking 4k release. 10/10

.

7/10

6/10

Now watching Nightmares.

Ringu 2
Set at most 8 days after the original, a student of the teacher from the first film and a journalist try to investigate what really happened.
This is still got some great moments throughout, some genuinely creepy sequences. However it just seems rather off and convoluted. Still worth a watch.

I watched Guardians Vol 2 at weekend and really wasn't impressed. The whole Kurt Russell plotline bored the pants off me in fact just a few days later and i can't even remember what it was about. However the film was saved from being a bomb in my eyes due to terrific turns from Dave Bautista as Drax, Michael Rooker as Yondu and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Their interaction just about made it worth watching.

As for 6/10 for Dracula? That was a truly dire film. I almost turned it off which is something i never do.
Susan Foreman and keirarts like this.

Ichi the Killer. Well Go USA BD.

Kakihara is one freaky dude! Loves inflicting pain and he has a talent for it! Not as freaky as Ichi though.... this boy has some serious issues! Miike went balls to the wall for this effort, so much so that even now our beloved censors - who are so much better than they used to be...- will not release it uncut. This release from Well Go is stunning picture wise and still has some miss translations that will make you giggle but is far and wide the best release of this classic. The good news is that although it states region A everywhere and on the cover, it appears region free. Well, it played on my PS4.

Video Nasties; Forbidden Horror and Dirty Synth Scores. BD-R.

I got this from Diabolik on a whim to bulk up my order. It uses soundtracks from the films with the best gory bits playing. It goes for the more recognized movies, Boogy Man, Burning, Possession, Fulci faves, Cannibals, Tenebrae, Bloody Moon, Don't Go in the House, Absurd, Anthro, etc. Only an hour long and not as good as you might think for the $25 bucks I paid.... but hey, it's only money.

The tourist with Johnny depp and Angelina jolie

A romantic crime thriller where she picks a stranger to try throw of the police etc, because her husband conned people out of billions .

Personally I found it slow, dull , and boring ,

The Forest 2016

A young women travels from America to Japan in search for her sister who went ino Aokigahara, Japan's suicide forest, is the forest haunted or is her imagination she playing mind tricks.

Based on the real suicide Forest thats made a name for itself and the background to it does help the creepy suspense of the movie with what appears to be a added twist to it does not do the movie any help, the big suspense hype to it never paid off even with a few jumps scenes that were unexpected, only thing that was good what the acting between the two main characters in the forest that seems to help the focus of "is it real or not". 5 out of 10.

Not a huge upgrade on the standard blu ray. While this is a good film. It's not really a good superhero film with Batman being quite underwhelming compared to how he should be, also.forgot just how annoying Bales Batman voice is, he's a far better Bruce Wayne than the Batman. Also Ra's Al Ghul is a disappointment compared to how he should be, the portrayal in Gotham is far better. 7/10

A huge improvement in nearly every way. The film belongs too Heath Ledger who gives a fantastic performance. Also vast improvement picture quality which is stunning in the Imax scenes. 9/10

Now watching Blade runner which is one of the benchmarks of ultra 4k.
