Ah Fred, he never lets you down. A cleaning firm tart up an old property for "new owners". Sounds like a thrilling carry on doesn't it?
Well with a cast featuring Michelle Bauer, David Carradine (auditioning for the Nef by the looks of it ) and Dick Miller amongst others I beg to differ. And it's an AIP flick!! A hoot. See this. The animal cruelty is minimal (they are cartoons ... ) but don't let that diminish your enjoyment

The Sea Wolves (1980)

Big screen account of Operation Creek. Retired regiment the Calcutta Light Horse's covert attack against three German merchant ships, which had been transmitting information to U-boats from the harbour in the neutral Portugese territory of Goa.

An all star cast lead by Gregory Peck, Roger Moore, David Niven and Trevor Howard have a lot of fun in Andrew V McLaglen's war time adventure. Whilst it's not a patch on the directors other works at the time (The Wild Geese and North Sea Hijack), it's still a lively watch even if Moore does spend too much time smoothing up to Barbara Kellerman, leaving the action to Peck and his band of British co-stars who appear to have a whale of a time blowing shit up.

Well worth a watch.

The Hole 2009

Two brothers Dane and Lucas move into a new house with their mother, they discover a door in their basement that unleashes their fear and slowly torments them and with their neighbour try to figure put how to stop their fear's tormenting them.

Gremlins and The Howling director Joe Dante brings us this teen horror flick that does entertain us, and gives off a creepy house vibe.

The two main actors are good as the brothers who have that love hate relationship but are more brought together as the film goes on with some funny moments as how to embaress your brother infront of the girl next door.

Its not a big massive budget type movie, it does have its thrills and chills for people who are scared of clowns and that look like Mr Punch dressed as the joker. Well worth a look.8 out of 10.

I wasn't too keen on 'the Hole', which was a shame as i like a lot of Joe Dante's stuff.

Think the movie appeals to more teens than us mature adults and its like a salute to the 80s movies that we still love.

The stand alone Star Wars film that no-one wanted. It is actually a good fun adventure movie. I was really worried about this one but it is okay. Setting up Han's story of meeting Chewbacca, Lando and getting his hands on the Millennium Falcon it is essentially a series of heists in the criminal underworld. Don't expect that this is the last Solo story as threads for a sequel(s) are left hanging.

For a Star Wars midnight showing, the attendance was poor. More like a mid week morning crowd. No excitement or crowds in the foyer.
Only four of us left to watch the end credits and the cinema foyer was empty on the way out. I sense a disturbance in the force..

off too see it Saturday morning. no matter how bad or good it turns out to be, it could win oscars etc. Hivemind would still hate it. there is a part of me that thinks if it was awful and panned by nearly everyone, they would like it!
